IE9 Backbutton Problem - 20 replies
Recently, I’ve been having problems when trying to “back out” of a page and return to the previous page. When I click the back button, some parts of the page “blink” but I don’t go anywhere. The IE9 “Help” section lists some reasons this may happen, including sites diverting you to alternate p...

DeWalt 735 Issue - 23 replies
I installed a set of Titan carbide edged knives in my 735 this afternoon. When I ran a piece of pine thru the planer, it was noisier than normal and the cut was really rough. When I opened it back up, it looked like one of the knife clamps was contacting the board. I took this picture of the knife and clamp on my workbench so you could see th...

Response to Poopiekat's Thread - 0 replies
Since Poopiekat has me blocked for some reason, I’ll start this thread to comment on his post about the sawmill explosion. I read the article twice but didn’t see anything that hinted at a cause for the fire (i.e. dust in the ducts). Apparently they had a lot of oil and compressed gas bottles in the mill which conributed to the s...

Response to Poopiecat's post. - 17 replies
When I tried to respond in his thread, I saw that Poopiecat has blocked me for some reason. Since I can’t post there, I’ll respond here. As much as we want praise and adulation, others may not share our opinion of our work. They’re then faced with the choice of saying what they actually think – or telling social lies...

Back Button Doesn't Work - 45 replies
My Back button has quit working on LJ’s. I use IE9 and it works fine on other sites, but has quit working on LJ’s. I can back away from the opening screen, but if I go deeper, the Back button doesn’t work and I have to exit and reopen to go somewhere else. Rebooting didn’t help.

Since When? - 10 replies
So, I’m taking my morning cruise thru LJ’s, and go to the Non-Shop Talk area where I see that I have to be signed in to post a reply. Say What? I get signed in automatically when I click on Lumberjocks. I clicked the back button, picked a topic, scrolled down, and could have posted. Repeated the process for 3-4 other topics wit...

Dremel Multitool Repair - 2 replies
I’ve had the Dremel Multitool for a couple of years and found it to be very useful during cabinet installations. Except for running really hot, it’s been a great addition to my aresenal. A few weeks ago, I noticed that it wasn’t cutting very well and decided that I needed a new blade. The new blade didn’t help much, ...

Free To Good Home (Sorta) - 0 replies
I just installed my new Long Ranger III DC 220v remote switch and this Shop Fox 220v switch is available for whatever it might cost to mail it. One of the Shop Fox remotes broke (a fairly common problem), and since they can’t sell replacement remotes, I upgraded to the Long Ranger. The “broken” Shop Fox remote still wor...

Dust Collector Remote Switches - 12 replies
So, what’s a good DC remote switch? One of the transmitters for my Shop Fox 220v unit broke (the microswitch broke) and Shop Fox doesn’t sell replacements. Apparently, that is a fairly common problem with the Shop Fox units.

Lamps On Marble or Stone Countertops - 10 replies
I’m doing a design/build of a built-in cabinet for a customer who wants to use table lamps on it. They want a marble or granite top and we need to decide how to get the cords into the cabinet as unobtrusively as possible. The simplest solution is holes thru the top, but that’s also very permanent. Anyone ever had to do this and ...

Photobucket Question - 7 replies
I’ve set up a Photobucket account and built albums (Kitchens, Bathrooms, Furniture, etc) of some of my projects. The idea is to send links to customers so they can see the pictures – but not be able to modify the album(s) by adding, deleting, or moving anything. How can I do this? I’ve spent a couple of hours reading their...

Good Morning from a newbie - 11 replies
I just found this place this morning and – after poking around a little – think that it might be a pretty good place to hang around. I’m a refugee from Taunton’s Fine Woodworking and Breaktime sites. After five years there, the new and “improved” sites pretty much left me cold. This site seems to capture ...
