My shop is a 3 car garage, with a 9’ ceiling and 6’ of extra depth. Almost everything is on wheels so I can quickly rearrange as needed. My understanding wife’s car is always in. The first floor plan is with both our cars in (no I don’t have an SSR – that’s a dream). The second floor plan is when I take over the second stall for large projects.

Moved in ten years ago, and with both kids now in college I finally got back to building out the shop. Still a work in progress, but it’s very functional as is.

The blue colored items on the floor plans are on the wishlist. All the rest I have already. Almost everything purchased used. I hope over time to replace a few of my “no-name” machines with Delta, but I can do most of what I need with what I have already!

I have a 200amp panel, 20 dual-bulb 4’ fluorescent light fixtures, and 4 ceiling fans. I put in a Utility sink, and have plumbing for a toilet, but haven’t built out the bathroom (not sure I want to give up the space).

Quite a nice work space you have.
20 light fixtures, man that must be nice and bright.
Right now I have 6 4’ t8 dual bulb fixtures.
Could be brighter but I’m happy with them for now.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice shop!
I’m in the process of seting up my shop. Lighting is a HUGE priority, workshop has to be BRIGHT (as I am not)!Love to see a TV. Hate to miss “Rough Cut” or the “News”.

BTW: Welcome to LJs!

Sawdust, that’s a very impressive shop that you have there. It’s still a nice size shop even with your wife’s car in there. Just keep on covering up her car with sawdust and maybe she’ll start parking outside. ;-| Welcome to Lumberjocks.
