I'm a computer geek by trade but wood working is by fun time. I have been around woodworking, mostly carpentry, most of my life. Many years ago I took up antique furniture repair simply because I love the look of old wood. I started building new furniture a few years ago but I still prefer the old stuff. I can’t say I’m all that great at building the new furniture but it is fun and I learn something new every time I build something.
Also I have 8 grandchildren. Seven boys and one girl. Funny but she is the only one in the bunch that likes to work in the shop with me. We have lots of fun building whatever she ask cause she undoubtedly rules the roost. I call her "baby girl" and that is her sitting with me in the picture.
-- In the end it is more about the memories we make than the pieces we build.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

I would have welcomed ya sooner, but I thought I already had… Too much sawdust on the brain I guess…
This is without a doubt one of the most addictive sites on the ‘net. Lots of excellent woodworkers here, and then there’s guys like me :-)....
