The wood is from a packaging crate which originated from Japan according to its IPPC markings.  Any help with the identifying of this wood will be great. It is quite soft and has a distinctive aromatic smell. <br />All comments are welcome. <br />Please excuse the quality of the photos, taken with my mobile phone.</p>]]>

      <title>Jarrah Burl Rustic Table</title>

        <![CDATA[<p><img alt="Jarrah Burl Rustic Table" src="http://lumberjocks.com/assets/pictures/projects/158124-196x130.jpg" /></p><p>Hi, here are some pictures of a table that I have recently completed. The table top burl is Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata) and the base is from a &#8220;Silver Princess&#8221; (Eucalyptus caesia) which came down in a storm some time ago. The third photo is how the burl looked in its original condition &#8211; rather hacked with a chain saw. To get a smooth surface on the burl I built the jig in the fourth photo and it work surprisingly well.</p>]]>
