Im a true novice to the craft. Ive been woodworking for about 2 years now. I don't even have a full shop yet... So I enjoy doing projects that I have the tools for and and the knowledge for, which isn't much... But I consider it a true joy in my life and a blessing to be able to try my hands at a craft that is being lost to generation disposable... So much of life is in a hurry, and its great to take time and make sure something is done right... I love the feeling when a joint comes together the way you hoped, and I love the feeling of being able to say at the end of the day... " I made that." Im blessed to have a wonderful wife who understands when I disappear downstairs for hours on end in the shop, and also understands the charges on the bank card for a new tool Ive been wanting... My dream is to build our first childs crib (whenever that may be) and send it with him or her on their wedding day... And hopefully, in time, and God willing, I'll be able to impart a small piece of history to another family, making something of value to them... Idealistic? probably... But its a good place to start... :-)
