After several years without a garage/workshop. I'm ready to begin rebuilding from the ground up (almost) and getting back into such a rewarding hobby.
After I get a few projects behind me, I'm looking forward to posting my activities for praise and criticism. Until then, I'll be lurking around the site learning as much as I can and looking for ideas to incorporate.
In the meantime, here's a question........
Should I purchase a planer or jointer first?

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

Hello Jason,
Let me welcome you to LJs. I am sure that you will find being a member of this group to be an interesting, as well as exciting, experience. Have fun and enjoy.
Jason, with regards to your question if your budget will allow you only one tool I would go for the planer first.
