Her is my latest piece of work I turned this Elm wood (I think) about thirteen inches across the egg is there purely for to show size regards Alistair

My son's new hall table I made for him

I have been speaking about a new hall table I made for my eldest son Alistair.I have almost finished here you see it sealed and first coat of varnish I hope you like it .It is made from some flamed mahogony I had and the inserst in the front are turned black American walnut please let me know what you think bad or good.regards Alistair

Before I started woodturning I used to do watercolours here are a few .I knew I would never be really good but somehow with wood I have a greater infinity and enjoy my art through woodworking .kindest regards Alistair

I have done a lot, or at least a reasonable quantity of woodturnings over the last 12 years or so and have several nice woodturning lathes as well as a large machinist lathe with variable speed.I recently bought one of the American Delta midi lathes and tried after exhaustive reading and dvd watching I can recommend the current dvd’s and book to go with it if you are interrested in pen making REX AND KIP make these two dvds for pen making and a book to accompany them hope you enjoy and aprove of my efforts kindest regards to my fellow woodworkers/jock’s Alistair
