Hi all I just wanted to give a BIG LJ Thank you to DaveR and his Sketch Up knowledge.

Yesterday, I asked him for a little help and advice on a design I was doing. So I emailed him a picture and my SU file. Well, he tweaked it a little and sent it back asking me to call him so he could walk me through the process of designing this project. Well, that phone call lasted almost 2 hours (I think, I lost track of time).

He was so nice and easy to talk to and learn from. I am forever in his debt. DaveR is extremely knowledgeable. I learned alot in a short time.

DaveR would probably say “that’s why we are here on Lumberjocks”.

So anyway Thanks DaveR you have saved me alot of headaches. Look at my projects page and you will see what I have done so far. If I can get the file posted correctly.

It’s nice to see another convert to Dave’s cult. The best thing about it is that this is not an isolated event, from my experience I gather that he has done that many times before. He loves to share his knowledge.

Thank you for all the interesting discussions we’ve had, Dave.

ditto on the kudos to Dave Richards. He has been very helpful in relaying issues with the Sketchup plugin Cutlist that I helped develop. As a result it’s much better for all of us.
Even though Dave is a LJ, let’s not forget that he has been a blogger for Fine Woodworking far longer. Check out his excellent articles on Design.Click.Build.

It is always nice to hear about the generosity of fellow LJs. I am quite comfortable with SketchUp, yet I found Dave’s blog postings very illuminating. Dave, thanks for taking the time out and please keep them coming.

Also thanks to Steve for pointing out that Dave has a blog. I think Dave is too modest to mention it on his home page.

Add me to the list of folks that Dave has helped one on one. We appreciate you.

Dave, I wonder how you find the time to eat and sleep, let alone work your regular job!??
