I just started this year making natural edge bowls. I noticed in your last picture your bark is much wider at the sides and thin at the ends, I did the same thing. After some thought I realized that you must make the sides of your bowl straight down till you get past the bark then you can curve the bowl inward. This will make the bark the same thickness all the way around the bowl.
