Over the last few weeks one of our cats has been getting sick. well, today we took her into the vet and was told she has lymphatic cancer. She has a few weeks tops. The Love of my life is devastated. She has asked me to make the box that will escort our “child” into God’s hands. I was going to make a little fancier box, but my wife wants simple. So I obey. The box will be made of ash. As I said… a task no one wants to think about. I will be carving Cotton Anne Kruse into the lid. Will post a pic when it is done.
Thanks for letting me share a bit of my life
Rick

Hey Rick, Sandra & I are also cat / dog people, we recently lost our 20 year old Oreintal variant Ben, he sat on my knee every night for the whole 20 years so I know how you & your wife feel right now, We still have a pair of 14 yo Busmeese sisters & a Ruby Cavalier King Charles spaniel, at least your pet isnt suffering anymore.
Go Well Rick :))

We live, we love, we lose, we weep, but still there is love
I know your pain lost ours last year
I hope there is solace in doing what we can for those we love
God Bless

I am sorry, My Friend! I believe an animal is loved so much because They can touch someone in such a way that it turns sorrow into smiles. You can Tell Them any thing, and They will love You the same. I know how You will miss Your Friend, because I have lost My Friends the same way! I tend to think that God has made That Friend in such a way that You will gain comfort from Him, or Her! And You will see Them all in Heaven some Day! just a thought I needed to share.

I’m sorry about your cat, Rick. It’s never always a heartbreak to loose a beloved pet.
