Well my loving wife has gone and done it again…She has given me the best anniversary gift a woodworker could hope for, a intro to woodcarving class. It starts next Wed. at Woodcraft. The class is 4 hours long. I am totally geeked about it. I am going to have a blast. I just know it. I have a source for my carving tools and a source for my sharpening system until I can afford the more powerful sharpening and honing system. This month on the 23rd is our 10th anniversary. Now I just need to replace her engagement ring she lost.

Good for you Rick, I’m sure you will have a blast! Soak up all the knowledge and tips you can, you may not remember everything right now but if you “file it away” in that grey matter thingy, it may come back to you later when you need it! Good luck in your learning.

Hey congrats on both counts buddy, does this mean you’re dropping out of the woodturning class? My gosh how will I replace you, and all that income you brought in. Just kidding Pal. Sounds like fun, always great to learn a new skill. You must have really scored from your grandmother. Only once a week shouldn’t bother your class here, still have lots of wood we can turn and coffee to drink and sh*t to shoot. Let me know. Save on shipping now, I’ll just have you pick up what I need. LOL. mike

That’s a great gift and very thoughtful of your wife. I hope that you will enjoy it and learn a lot.

And no she did not lose it the day we were married. Unlike my first marriage , where I lost the ring on our honeymoon in lake Michigan.
