Yesterday I spent the day as an apprentice at Mike’s school of woodturning (jockMike2 for those who didn’t know). The last visit I had talked about making mallet. Well yesterday was that day. Mike, as always was very helpful. I originaly wanted to make it out of walnut, but the piece we found was extremely difficult to cut. So I opted for a piece of maple. Boy am I happy with the way it turned out.

I bow to the master LOL Justkidding Mike. And no I did not get into trouble.
