Well after I posted the project of my cutting boards. I i now have 2 orders for them as well as a request for a repair. So now I need to make at least 6 boards for family. I also need to get started on some for an upcoming show.

I have decided to try my hand (again) at the craft show circuit. Maybe by diversifying I will be able to make some money. So here goes nothing. Gotta open Santa’s workshop for the season.

Hi Rick,
Good luck !! I think you have the right attitude….don’t give up.
Are you doing any shows in Mid-Michigan?
Do you have plans for Sept. 10 & 11?
There’s a show in Charlotte at Johnson’s Lumber.
Both space is free.

Good luck on your branching out into retail sales.

Good luck Rick. You have grown a lot as a woodworking and your offerings are quite varied. I hope you do well. The nice thing about requests from family members is that they give you a pretty good idea of what would be a hit at the shows. When you start getting numerous requests for a particular project, that tells you it will probably be a winner.

Best wishes to ya for the upcoming shows, Rick. Vicky and I had some good and bad times with them last year. The best part is that you’ll be getting lots of shop time.

I hear ya on the shop time. The problem right now is that it is too bloody hot to work for any length of time
