At 5 am this morning my Grand mother passed away. She was 92 years old. She was a woodcarver. She started carving in her 80’s. So now I can see that wood working runs in the family. We will have a memorial service in September for her. She was the last of my grand parents. She will be missed.

My condolences for your loss Rick. Her spirit lives on in the items she made. I know you will treasure them.

I am very, very sorry Rick. I just got back from my grandmother’s funeral this week. :( It’s so sad.

Sorry to hear, it would be a real tribute to her to post one of her carvings.

I’m sorry as well. My grandfather was my biggest woodworking inspiration and I still love to look at the carvings he did. I try to keep his teaching alive with my own work. Your grandparent sounds like a wonderful person.
