I've been woodworking now for 9 years, but have been around aspects of woodworking my whole life. My jointer, and most of my hand planes belonged to my grandfather, who died over 30 years ago. My first real project was a dresser for my oldest daughter. I had just purchased my first table saw. I put the saw in my back yard since I didn't have a garage at the time. My back yard was so small that I couldn't even properly rip a sheet of plywood without having to move the saw in the middle of the cut. Anyway, I really enjoyed the project and have been building things ever since. Recently, I have been inspired by Marc Spagnuolo A.K.A. "The Wood Whisperer". I'm also LOVING Google SketchUp!
