1, 2, and 3 inch sanding discs
I heard about these here on another post and decided to order some. I cut my own paper and it sticks well however it wears out fast due to the small area. If you press too hard for too long you’ll heat the pad up and the foam will melt. A bit of CA glue will fix it. The sponges under the abrasive are great for hard to get to places that require intense sanding that you couldn’t do with any other tool. I use it on my turnings to get even sanding along the curves and to avo...
SE 10 High Speed Black Carbon Rasp Burr Wood Working Rotary
These are very small, only about an inch or two. They can be used in a drill press or a cordless drill. These shaper rasps are really nice if you work with some free hand woodworking. They are great for matching up round surfaces, they don’t tear your work out either. Very good buy and as important as a good set of chisels. Strongly recommend especially at the price amazon has of under 10$. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00339ECVS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
ChopShop Saw Hood
I hooked this up to my Dewalt compound miter saw last night and thought I’d post my thoughts. It’s very easy to put together, just 4 parts. It’s much larger than I expected causing me to pull the saw out significantly from the wall, about 18”. It catches not only what the saw shoots out the DC port, but most of the chips that fly everywhere. The clean up is in front of the saw, not under and behind.A simple bucket is all that you need to capture the chips and dust. ...
Wolfcraft 4525404 Drill Guide Attachment for 1/4-Inch or 3/8-Inch Drills
I ordered the Wolfcraft 4525404 Drill Guide Attachment for 1/4-Inch or 3/8-Inch Drills, so I could accurately drill 1” holes in a board for dowels used in bending wood. I needed the press to make the holes straight. The press came partially assembled. Not a problem to complete. Everything seems rugged, not quite as heavy as expected. The test was drilling a one inch hole in a 2 inch thick particle board to a depth of 1.5 inches. When using the press, it locks up. This is ...
Excellent clamp for the $$$
Woodworker rules:1. You can’t have too many clamps.2. If you have too many clamps, see rule one. I know how some of you feel about HF and Pittsburgh tools, but I gotta say that these clamps are wonderful. They come in just the right sizes for what I need and they clamp tight and don’t scar the work. I tried a couple each last time I went to HF 2 – 6”, 2 – 12”, and 2 – 36” and just now I ordered 4 more of the 6” and 4 12”. Total...
Central Machinery 14” 4 Speed Band saw
Review: Central Machinery 14” 4 Speed Band saw This is a preliminary review of the saw that I got today from HF. Price: $360.00Speeds: 600, 1140, 1670, and 2670 Feet Per MinuteWeight: 179 lbs This is a first for me, buying not only my first bandsaw, but also buying one without thorough reading of reviews. I toyed with this saw at the store, I had to straighten out the whole thing before I could see it work, the blade was in backwards, and the saw was completely out of adjustment. Funny,...
