I’ve been wanting to get some small stuff ready for Christmas so I can sell them.
I’ve been having some luck with ideas.
Wine racks would be cool, but imagine once my lathe gets here to turn some wooden wine bottles! Call them fillers for the empty spots in your wine rack. They can be made from some really cool woods and sell for high $$.
Any thoughts?

Not sure they would sell. Are they practical? I know nicely made wine boxes are not difficult and do sell.
A pic of what you are thinking of might help.

I’ve seen turned Christmas ornaments sell like hotcakes at craft fairs. I can’t remember what the pricing was, but I’m sure you can calibrate it to your area.
Walnut and maple make a good combination for them – just make sure the joint between is strong enough to withstand the turning.

Try making wine bottle ornaments, I did a craft fair last year and it was the magic wands that sold like hot cakes for me.

Hmmmm – I like the idea of turned wine bottles, but not sold on the idea of having them for ‘fillers’.
I could see a wooden bottle incorporated somehow with a cheese board. Perhaps a cheese knife with a wine bottle handle… Or like grf says, ornaments.
Just my thoughts as the main shopper of this household. Most things I buy tend to have a purpose. If they’re visually appealing or interesting, that’s a bonus.
