My new project
These are the raw materials so far. I hope to score some nice birds eye or spalted maple for the front and back side to hide the dowel support and wine racks. The slab is hedge. I just sanded it so it’s really yellow but will fade to a beautiful golden brown with time. Might not look like much, but just wait till I get done. This is more art than woodworking at this point. This table will have a lot going on, inlays, that slab is 80 lbs. The wine racks will be painted flat black and the sides of the racks, (the large dowels) will have some kind of siding to hide them. Still working on idea’s about that. Fun times.
