After failing woodshop in Junior High back in the 60s it took over 30 years to realize how much I enjoyed woodworking. After building a couple quick flower boxes I figured I was ready to remodel our kitchen. Yeah, silliness is obvious in hindsight, but it turned out okay.

Since then I've practiced and have successfully created piles of sawdust and scrap wood, which is quite useful on the family camping trips. Still the practice is starting to pay off and I think I just might be getting better.

Okay, I am overwhelmed by the rapidity of recognition. I wasn’t even done entering my profile before I received welcome messages. Truth be told, I’m here cause I really like the pictures and I’m looking to learn from folks whose skills and knowledge are obviously superior to mine. It would be great to contribute and I’m hoping that I’ll have something to say in the not too distant future.

In the meantime, there’s a fair amount of stuff to look through . . .

Just checked out all your projects so far and you have some real nice work. My favorite’s are the storage bench and the grandfather clocks. Well done. You also have a great website.

Thanks for the welcome Russel and comments on my Charlie Brown blog article. Brought tears to my eyes as I was writing it. But I do think it’s one of the greatest gifts a parent can give their kids, the ability to make something with their own hands. And that is the most precious time when you have that kind of one-on-one time with either your parent or your kids.

Hi Russel,

Waldo’s back! Thanks for your message. I just responded tonight so check your inbox! I’m actually close to you proximity-wise now. I’m back home visiting my parents who live in Defiance, Ohio. Ok, so it’s not so close but it’s closer than California! Hope you’re well and business is keeping you busy!
