Hey you LumberJocks,
I find myself in the unfortunate position of needing to sell off some wood, so I thought I’d see if any LumberJocks would be interested.
What wood does he have, you might ask? Let me list a bit of it for you.
Basswood($2.00 per board foot): Great carving stock. A couple hundred board feet in many different sized boards. 4” X 4” X 78”, 2” x 9” x 48”, 4” x 8” X 78”
Clear redwood($3.00 per board foot): 25 board feet in 7.25” wide board.
Cherry($6.00 per board foot): 3” slabs 12” x 78”(19.86 BF) and 9” x 78”(15.54 BF) and one glued up turning blank approx 7” x 7” x 17.5”(5.92 BF)
Walnut($4.00 per board foot): one block 5.25 X 5.375 X 28.25 and one glued up block that is 7.5” X 5” by 10.5”
Odds and ends of mahogany, oak and beech.
If you’re interested, call me at 517-449-6863 or message me here at LumberJocks. I’d be happy to have you stop by and pick out a few pieces or just buy me out!
Scrounging through the woodpile,
Russ

Russ, I grew up in Okemos but now live in Oregon. If I were closer I would be very interested in your wood. So it goes. Good luck with someone who lives closer. Go Green.

Geedubs,
I have several friends in Okemos. I wish you were closer, so you could share in my overabundance of wood. It’s a tough decision to give up wood, but in this instance, I’ve got to do it.
Have a great one, David.

I wish I was still living in Windsor. I’d be pawing through your pile with great enthusiasm! Sadly, shipping it to me in Winnipeg would be prohibitively expensive. (sigh) Just my luck.

Too bad, Big Tiny,
For LumberJocks, I’d let it go for even less. I need the space. Sadly, I need to get a reasonable amount for it or I’d just give much of it away. The cherry slabs I have are rare pieces that my lumber supplier tells me would be $13.00 a board foot right now. My rep tells me that in 14 years he’s never seen a twelve inch piece of cherry three inches thick. Guess I’ll be stuck making bandsaw boxes!
Sweeping up the sawdust,
Russ
