Hey guys, I really appreciate the warm welcome.

My wife has helped me re-prioritize my current projects. Wood flooring for the kitchen and family room must be in for Thanksgiving. I’ve got to remove the carpet, baseboard and particleboard underlayment this weekend. Next week after work I’ll do the touchup painting before the floor goes in. Then its off to laying the oak strip flooring. Never layed wood flooring before. At least its prefinished. I think it will go down fairly quickly. Any tips for a novice?

Does anyone know of or suggest a source for an oak cold air return grate. I’d like to have it flush with the flooring. I’m not sure I can make one and certainly not in the timeframe.
