My passion is working with wood. I craft wooden birds. Some call them whirlibirds, whirligigs and wind spinners. I craft each bird in efforts to replicate a particular species of bird. Each is hand painted with exterior paint. I mostly use pine, willow, royal paulownia, or cyrpress to craft these birds.

I also enjoy making jewelry boxes, keepsake boxes, potpourri boxes, spice and wine racks, napkin holders, paper towel holders, step stools, key holders, etc. I mostly use black walnut, cherry, red oak, spalted pecan and maple for these crafts.

I want to venture into pen making as well.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
