Ryobi 18-Volt One+ Lithium-Ion- Drill Driver and Circular Saw Kit +charger

Ryobi 18-Volt One+ Lithium-Ion- Drill Driver and Circular Saw Kit +charger

Since home depot doesn’t like publishing a negative reviews that points out the obvious, I might as well review it here.So what we have here is a definite value. Drill with clutch, 5 1/2 inch saw not one but two entry level +1 lithium ion 18v batteries and a charger and all for just 79.00You can’t beat that.Batteries (although entry level) and charger alone cost more than that individually. The drill is nice with 24 position clutch setting and runs true no wobble like the yellow D drills.An...

You may never need these...

You may never need these...

But when there’s a need for ultra deep jaw clamps 12 inches nothing else will work. So, I put off buying these for a long time and sure enough I have a job at hand that needs these. @ 10 a piece you cant beat the price and quality.you could take the pin out and replace it with a handle but I see no need to that.

A true Pocket Hole Master !!!!!

A true Pocket Hole Master !!!!!

Well, I’ve resisted buying one of these pocket hole jugs for more years that I can recall mainly because, I never thought I would ever use one and I don’t use screws when making fine furniture. Shop jigs and Tables get a screw here and there but not too often. Any way while I’ve been watching this thing for years, the prices on this have gone up so much the last few years so I decided to get one before it hits the 80+ mark. I didn’t even want to consider the other pocket hole jigs. Right fro...

Ultra gem from HF

Ultra gem from HF

We all know you don’t buy a trailer hitch or a parachute from harbor Freight if they sold it and the list can be pretty long. And we all know there’s been more than few times we have lost it with misaligned part or missing screw or 5 minute life span tools. But then there are times like these when you are willing to forgive and forget and besides where else can a lumber jock hang out and even feel slightly in control of cash flow.I found these gems few years back ( available online ?) a...

Long Ranger III (Remote dust collector switch)

Long Ranger III (Remote dust collector switch)

Well, it came down to a matter of making my lazy A** take the unbearable three steps to reach my HF 2 HP shop vac and then the physiologically excruciating act of reaching down to flip the well concealed switch or parting with $61.00 that would give me gloating rights. So, here I am with the PSI, Long Ranger LR110-3 110-Volt 20Amp switch. After doing a considerable online research and reading all the reviews about what works with HF 2 HP/20Amp, I decided that spending the extra $11 on this ...

Well, once again I have to get to the nitty gritty and give this book a 1 star for color pics. The information with regard to angle calculations and charts-tables and derived numbers are based on a True angle protractor that you have to purchase either as a kit or separately. What this means is that if you don’t have the tool he’s trying to sell you, you will be wondering why is that angle in picture or description 270. How did he get that when it looks more like closer to 90 or so? I sho...

Don't Bother

Don't Bother

Long story short. This is my second iGaging angle block. The first had a defective LCD on top of displaying constant error even with a fresh battery. This one the LCD is ok but even at a sale price of 20 it’s waste of money since you may have to spend at least half of that in gas returning and exchanging.Measured against all my engineering squares and then some and two other Wixey’s this thing is so off that’s not even funny. The problem is also inconsistency. It’s not always off by sam...

Almost got it right.

Almost got it right.

Well, even though I‘ve had a Wixey Protractor( http://lumberjocks.com/reviews/549 ) that is dead on 100% accurate, measured against all my engineering squares and then some, At only $15 on sale, I could not resist picking one of these up.Why you might ask. Well, The Wixey even though is accurate; it has two main shortcomings. One, it is impossible to lock it in place. Second, it does not have the hold function, which should have been incorporated since it will not lock tight. On the other hand...

Anti Slip Tape

Anti Slip Tape

Well, not much to talk about here except if you don’t have any around the shop, you may consider getting a roll it’s around $6.00. It’s perfect for that none slip miter fence. I can find few more uses for it I’m sure. Peel and stick and 2” x 96” inches.

None slider 5 star

None slider 5 star

After a few disasters with sub $200 sliders and a dual rail miter sled, I decided to grab one of these none sliders. And @ $120, this made it impossible to resist for too long.I blew the sales they had on Amazon and also the sales they had on-line at sears but got lucky in store deal. So I grabbed it. Any way, right out of box the accuracy was an impressive within 0.1 in all aspects. Not bad at all but not good enough for a calibration fanatic like myself. So after an hour or so of tweaks, ...
