Location: North East, MD

I am a beginning woodworker, with a small basement workshop. I have done plenty of construction type projects around the house, such as new kitchen, screened porch etc.., but very little actual woodworking.

I live at the Head of the Bay (Chesapeake), and I am surrounded by history, which inspires me to look at the old way of building things. I plan to be more of a hybrid woodworker, and I am excited about the idea of using lots of hand tools. Now I just have to start making some sawdust.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I am not new to working with wood, but it has been many years since I have done woodworking. I have done lot’s of home improvement, but am now just getting my woodworking workshop set-up. One of my first projects will be a humidor for my son, who graduates college this year. Guess I better get started!
