The Problem
The Problem -
In my first shop lay-out, I had my bench positioned along a wall under a small window. I had my tool chest at the end of the bench, and pegs and racks for various tools on the wall above, all within easy reach. This was a great set-up for a number of years.
As time went on, I grew tired of constantly have to remove saw dust and shavings from inside my tool chest … so, I decided to move the bench to the middle of the shop for 360° access, and build a tool wall in the corner …
… this left the original pegs and racks, now cluttered with all sorts of things, as an eye sore above my sharpening station.
So, being inspired by Smitty's most wonderful little Nail/Screw Cabinet, I have decided to take the time and clean up this area. Besides that …
… I need to clean up the inside of my wall cabinet, finding room for my growing molding plane collection …
… and replace my most hideous blue DollarStore ice tray hardware bin!
And, while I'm at it … I thought perhaps I might try to find a better storage solution for my 100 plus year old jack plane … poor little guy!
So, stay tuned while I try and figure this out!
