And So It Begins -

It was a veritable heatwave in Lilburn today … 75°! I took advantage of the wonderful weather and started roughing out some cabinet parts. I managed to cut and shape the sides …

… and get the horizontals cut. I got a bit carried away with the coping saw …

… but nothing a good filing won’t fix! I was also able to get the dovetails marked.

Before cutting the dovetails, I took the time to dismantle the old racks and pegs.

Well, I made a little headway … but I’ll have to put things aside for now, and pick up again when I return from Alaska. Back next week!

Looks like good headway. Alaska now? We were there in August and it was already starting to cool. Better take some of that warm weather with you.

Looks like fun in the shop, that’s what woodworking is all about. Have a nice trip.

Thanks, Dave. One has to go in the winter if they want to see the Northern Lights. Besides, living in Atlanta I hardly see any snow. It’s been snowing all week in Fairbanks. I have a feeling I’ll get my fix. LOL!
