Roger, I saw a comment you posted in another thread talking about local saw mills in the Aiken area. I am starting a few projects and wanted to get the information for the local mills from you. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Rodger,
I was browsing around and stumbled upon your comments to the thread last year regarding lumber in Augusta GA. You talked about a small mill in Vaucluse SC? I have a placeon Vaucluse Rd on the Aiken side! Do you have any contact info or address to this mill? I would LOVE to pay them a visit!!

Hey Rodger, thanks for all the info. I went to mantool they've got some really nice stuff, but its so expensive. any way i'm definitely going to get a porter cable router, it just seems i can't make anything without a router. i got a crap one from harbor freight for 23 dollars and a roundover bit, i guess its good for parctice. when my taxes come back i'll get a bandsaw and drill press if i can. thanks again.

Hey Rodger, I'm 40 yrs old, and trying to get away from the video games and into woodworking, working on building up the tools and my skills, on a very limited budget is not easy. Been looking on craigslist not sure what to start with i have a cheap table saw, compound miter saw, some sanders and automotive tools. I'm thinking i should get in this order, a router, drill press, band saw. i would also like to get one of those pocket hole jigs and a doweling jig. What do you think? I looked at your shop, its incredible. i was going to message you but lumberjocks says i have to post 5 times first. Also do i need an auto feed benchtop planer or will an electric handheld planer do the same job? Any info is appreciated.
