A Plug for the Society of American Period Furniture Makers

Based on the response to my recent post of the Pembroke table, there seems to be a fair number of woodworkers at LJ who may not be aware of this group. It’s the Mecca for those interested in period American furniture. This is where you will find the real deal. I was blissfully unaware of the group until I attended a couple marquetry classes with Patrick Edwards and Patrice Lejeune at the American School of French Marquetry in San Diego in June 2014. It was when Patrick casually mentioned the group. I say casually, because Patrick is not one to toot his own horn, but there was a Cartouche Award sitting in the showroom entry!
