Exotic woods
While on a trip with a fellow woodworker to Portland Oregon. We found this exciting treasure, it is Gilmer Wood Company. http://www.gilmerwood.com/index.html They have all sorts of exotics from all over the world and have it in sizes from pencel blocks to logs . The owners are very friendly and full of information on the types of wood. So if any of you fellow woodworkers are in the area I highly recommend a visit, you want be disappointed. My personal favorite was Snake Wood. PS bring lots of money for this stuff is not cheap.
