This will be my new bed storage unit. I am waiting to get more lumber so I can build the drawers and doors. It will have sliding doors under the mattress for storage. The foot board will feature beaver stripped cottonwood half round planks. The beavers strip all the bark off and the tooth marks left behind are amazing. Lucky beavers get to do woodworking all day while I am stuck machining. I’ll show them! The beetles and beavers better keep up the good work.

Part 2: More lumber!!

I recently took my logs in to be cut into slabs and fell in love with the whole process. It makes my projects mean so much more when I put the work in to cut my own trees. These were from our mining claim and also from a tree that blocked the road when hunting late october. The hunt tree I will make into a desk and the top for my dining table with the 2 saws inlayed into it. I also cut the rest of the beaver cottonwood and it is drying along with the beetle kill. The cottonwood has neat grain...
