I recently took my logs in to be cut into slabs and fell in love with the whole process. It makes my projects mean so much more when I put the work in to cut my own trees. These were from our mining claim and also from a tree that blocked the road when hunting late october. The hunt tree I will make into a desk and the top for my dining table with the 2 saws inlayed into it. I also cut the rest of the beaver cottonwood and it is drying along with the beetle kill. The cottonwood has neat grain on the backside, but the front with the teeth marks will face out.
I had the mill bundle me about 120 other boards to finish my bed and build another bed and some tables.
