I’ve already replaced the belts on most of my machines with link belts, but I never really felt like it was a huge improvement. After swapping the belts on my table saw I realize just how much difference they can make. I have a 15 year old Grizzly G1023 which has a triple 3L belt pulley. I bought the saw for a song on Craigslist because it had a blown motor, but I had no idea how it ran. I don’t do a lot of reviews, reserving my efforts for those items I feel work extraordinarily well, or might be of particular interest. Scrapers may not sound all that exciting, but I find that I keep mine close on the bench at all times and use it on just about every project. When using the 1/4 inch collet adapter I just cannot tighten the bit securely. I know enough to leave it not quite bottomed out in the chuck and I know that if I tighten it any more it will shear the router away from the mounting plate. The 1/2 inch bits seem to be much more secure. I think the way it is it is a dangerous situation because the bit will ‘climb’ out from the collet.I E Mailed the Triton people over a week ago and have gotten no response (yet).Has anyone els...

I have had my Triton 3 1/4hp router since last June 2010 and did not get to use it much until the last couple of months. I mounted this router on my TS extension and drilled the appropriate hole in the cast iron router extension and was good to go. The lifting mechanism worked well at first and then began to slip and eventually failed to lift, though adjustments could still be made when lowering via the above-table micro-adjuster.
