Was searching for information on making reproduction crown molding today and came upon LumberJocks for the first time. The search for crown molding is because I continue working on my 1840's Greek revival home (27 years now!) and the latest project is finish exterior molding. We literally raised the roof on the place and I'm reproducing the molding typical of the rest of the house.

As for woodworking, done it as a hobbiest for 20+ years though not as much as I'd like. I'd consider myself to be a moderately skilled amateur aspiring to bigger and better work. Done some cabinetry and many home projects from built-ins to beds to curio cabinets. Last year completed a fine hard maple workbench which is a delight to work on. Plus various levels of carpentry which is necessary for a 160+ home.

My workshop is... cluttered! About 15x20 and affords me a reasonable workspace but not what I'd like. Not heated so winter time in Upstate New York makes working difficult.

Glad to be part of the group and look forward to in conversations.
