I started woodworking a few years ago when my wife and I needed more storage space in our kitchen. Dissatisfied with much of the furniture available within our budget I decided to make a pantry out of pine with thin panels. I used a borrowed circular saw and hand drilled my own pocket holes without a jig (I didn't even know what a jig was!). A few mistakes were made and I learned a lot; number one being that I could actually make my own furniture! We've since moved to a more perminent house and are starting to make it more of a home by adding pieces of furniture etc that we actually want to have. Before it was simply a mix-match from our single years. I'll post my re-furnishing process here as I really appreciate being able to see what others have done. Lumberjocks is a great site for education and inspiration. I'm glad to be here.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
