Seventy one days ago I wrote a blog entry that said my break was basically over and that I had a lot of things to get started on. Well, it just so happened that things at work really started picking up about 71 days ago. I have been so tired when I get home that I hardly feel like getting into the shop. Hopefully I have finally found a way to get into the shop some.

I have started the rocking horse for the boys, and I try to get out and work on it as often as I possibly can. I have the body cut out and glued together and the legs are cut out. I am ready to attach the legs and them make the rockers. I cannot wait to get this finished. My boys are really excited about it. I will have to get some pictures when it is done.

I am just about done with the drawings for the new television console. I thought I was ready to get started this weekend. I rushed home Friday from work, rushed to Lowe’s to pick up some Maple plywood and got home just after Hanna had started to sprinkle on us. I got the plywood in the garage without any incident. When I got up Saturday morning and started looking at the plans I realized the thing was way too tall. It has taken all of yesterday and today to redesign the thing. Now, I think I will be done with it before the weekend, and hopefully I can get started. I will blog the construction process on that thing. Maybe we will all be able to learn something.

I am looking forward to getting back into the community here. I have been looking and posting occasionally. Now, maybe I can add a little more to the content here. One of the first things that I have to do is finish up the blog on the bunk beds and post that project. I have been putting that one off for a while for some reason. I am not really sure why, but I have.

Gotta go for now. I have some more work to do on the entertainment center (television console) to do. I want to get this thing done as soon as possible. More hopefully soon.

Rob, Time flies.. espicially when you have things to get done and young children around. Good luck on your new found shop time and look forward to seeing the projects up.
