Hey all,
It is time for another update on the bunk beds. The end is nearing quickly, and I am already starting to relish getting the big thing out of the shop. I am really short on space.
Anyway, this is going to be an update with no pictures since I cannot get good angles and views of the beds out in the shop now. Over the past week I went out and bought two sheets of plywood for the mattress support panels. These panels have been cut and are fit into the bed frames. Next for completion was the safety rails. All those pieces are now complete and ready for sanding. I am working on the last piece of the puzzle right now….the ladder.
Hopefully throughout the rest of this week, I will get the ladder completed. I am hoping to start sanding this weekend. I am also hoping that this next paycheck will be nice enough to me to allow me to order a new HVLP spray system. Since looking at The Wood Whisperer web site, an realizing that to use a conversion gun I need a new compressor, I feel like the Earlex system would be a good choice for me. That thing would really help on a project this large.
More updates next week, and hopefully some pictures with it.
Everyone have a great week.
