I forgot to post this last week, so here it goes. Better late than never.
My wife wanted to go to some garage sales last Saturday, and I could not say no since she has been really patient with the Saturdays all through the bookshelf project. We noticed at Lowes one night that they were having a kids clinic and that they would be building a fire engine. Absolutely perfect as our oldest son is really into the fire fighter/paramedic thing. I mean, everywhere we go there is a fire that he has to put out.
So, we went to Lowes so we could do something together. Both boys got to build a fire engine, and daddy got a lesson that one child is enough to take to one of those things given the fact that I have to help them both quite a bit (I basically have to build it for my 2 year old, the four year old does good on his own). It was well worth the trip and will be something that I do not forget real soon. Here are a couple of pictures of each of the boys “working” on their fire engines.

I’ll guarantee you that this outing is something the boys will never forget. So start making plans to go out and do it again.
