Part 2: Update

Alright, I know it has been a long time since I posted on this, but here are the answers to your most pressing questions: no I didn’t die, no I did not quit on these, and yes I have a life that frequently pulls me away from projects in the shop :). Part 3: The Home Stretch

Progress has really picked up on these as of late. In fact, as I write this, I have the second coat of finish on each plane, along with each knob. I just need to have the blades heat treated, mill the soles square, and do final adjustments of the mouth. I can’t wait to get my mill completely up and running because lapping the sides of these things is long and painful (literally, both to arm muscles and to the flesh when the sharp edges cut the hands).
