I haven’t posted in forever. I really should get busy because I’ve had quite a few projects since my last posting and I’ve also bought quite a few new tools. I got an extension for my Delta 46-460, as well as the Delta stand. I also bought more hand planes from Veritas and I’ve still got to review that Worksharp 3000 (but you already know it kicks butt)...
However I’ve been extremely busy in the last year. I quit my job and returned to it when they begged me to come back (a bucket of money doesn’t hurt). I went to game 3 of the World Series. I bought a new station wagon. I have done several remodeling projects..
Oh yea, and Feb 3rd, I met my son; Carpenter Jaxon Boyett. My wife and I adopted him from a lovely young lady who was basically in a difficult situation. I can tell you that she was indeed the victim of circumstance and she was trying to make the best of the situation by offering this lovely boy up for adoption. This is an open adoption, where the birth mother picks the adoptive parents and maintains a relationship with the adoptive family. Sorta like a favorite aunt. So far it is working out quite well for everyone….
Carpenter is my Grandfather’s middle name (Albert Carpenter Truitt). It was originally going to be his middle name but our birth mother, very nicely, asked us if she could pick the middle name. It seems to have worked out for the best because Carpenter seems to be a really awesome first name. We’ve gotten tons of complements.
But enough talk, time for pictures. Ladies and Gents, I introduce to you, Carpenter Boyett:
