A few days ago my oldest Granddaughter said she would like to have an American doll and a canopy bed. I noticed Kerux had built a few beds and wondered if anyone would have some basic plans? This will be my first venture into any true wood working and don’t want to disappoint the granddaughter.
Thanks.

Rick I have built an American girl bunk bed before for my daughter from plans from the ana-white.com website. They aren’t too bad to build as long as you don’t mind drilling a bunch of pocket holes (Ana White loves pocket holes). I looked on her website and found that she does hav plans for a canopy bed, I’ll place the link below. Also, the bed I built is in my projects.

You can get a complete set of plans for all AG doll furniture in the book “Making Furniture and Dollhouses for AG and other 18” dolls” by Dennis Simmons. Also, remember that AG dolls are 1/4 the size of a 6 foot human. So any plan for a 6 foot person scaled down 25% will work. Good lick.

Thank you for the help. Up to now I knew nothing about American doll. I had seen the Ana White farm house bed. The pocket holes would be a learning for me but that is what I hope to do. Your comments have been most helpful.
