Woodworking is a hobby for me...actually a hobby gone awry. It is a hobby that consumes a significant portion of my free time and money too. I've built a number of different things over the years. In recent years I have gotten more interested in art-oriented woorworking projects implementing dramatic curves, colors and even other materials to come up with projects that are not in the conventional "straight-and-square" world. With each project I try to push the limits of one or more of my skills in attempt to continue taking my work to higher and higher levels of quality and creativity overall.

We welcome you to the one and only LumberJocks. We hope that you enjoy your stay/visit each and every time you show up on our door step. If you should need any woodworking question answered, don’t hesitate to ask. Somebody’s gonna have a good answer for you.

Thanks for the comment on the centerpiece Rich. I just couldn’t see splitting a perfectly good block of cherry. It adds a nice detail to the project but I just wanted to keep the block intact. Why don’t you post pics of your centerpiece. I would like to see a comparison with different woods.
-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.
