Thanks very much. I will have to fight the allure of LJ’s.com. It won’t be easy—I have an addictive personality. But I’ve just unsubscribed to the dozen (or two) daily and weekly e-mails from news and political websites… too much grief in the world, and not much I can do about it, except vote. The one thing I can do is make sawdust! (and post stuff here).

Holy Cow! You all ARE a friendly bunch of people.
Thank you very much to everyone. Now I gotta get my a** in gear and take some pics of jobs gone by… projects from the past year or so… anything older than that would just be living in the past.
Today (Saturday) I went to two garage sales (popular institution here in Maine) and picked up a small (4×36”) bench top sander and a scroll saw ($10 each!) and a bunch of lumber. 4 – 6×6” x 8’ hardwood posts (from a barn torn down—installed almost a hundred years ago—weighed a ton each, and that ain’t moisture)— and also two pieces of pine, 2×21” x 10’. 21 inches wide!!! all five bucks each! I should do this more often.
By the way, as many of your notes said, LJ’s is a a good place for inspiration. I even got those two machines cleaned up and running, and a parts list made out—never had a scroll saw before, so, blades for it and belts for the sander. That’s more woodwork than I’ve done in the past week!
Thanks again, and I’ll post soon.
Rich
