I read an article somewhere that said “if you’re a beginner you shouldn’t try to make your own shutters, it is a very difficult work that should be left to professionals” ... as stubborn as Iam, it looked like the right project to tackle on my learning travel …
So, here I am so far, It is make of Pine ($$$ cost effective), and I’m using oil+wax as a finish, by request from my wife that saw me once trying it on a piece of scrap wood to see how it looked.
I’m far from finished, but it’s been fun, I got finally my Kreg Jig mini, it’s all they say and more, although I wish I had the extra money to spend on a full Kreg Master, but soon, at least while the steep step of year-start economics passes…
It’s been fun, I’m glad I started learning woodworking, it relaxes me, makes me feel good, I feel more active, and yesterday that my wife helped me, it’s a nice activity to share some time.
:) Have a good day, everyday.
