First step: Upgrade the blade. A good blade is only ~$15 and is a world of difference.

1/4’ mdf attached to the right side of the saw base so It will match the height of the jig.

(1) perfect straight edge on 3/4” MDF glued to-
(2) 1/4” MDF that is 1-1/4” wider than the 3/4” MDF . Once the glue sets, cut the 1/4” MDF using the 3/4” MDF as the fence
(3) run through Table saw to make Edge #3 parallel to Edge #2

Bonus – add clamps to make into a jointer jig

Otherwise you can setup the saw guide running the saw the other direction, with the wide part of your saw base on the jig. That way you can forgo the separate piece of mdf that is screwed to the saw.
