Native woods in your area - 30 replies

What interesting local woods are in your area? I was going to post the list for Wisconsin, however it is way to long. What are some local woods you work with? I use Tamerack, very very hard and grows everywhere. Also Black Walnut, and soft maple. All three as well as pine and alder grow on my property. So what local woods do you use?
