I have a small workshop I built out of my old 8X8 shedd that I added another 8×8 room onto….I hope to buy a bigger house this year with atleast a 2 car garage.

Hi Randy, I have always said that any shop is a good shop. With an 8×16 shop space to work in I am sure it gets a little cozy at time but it is surprising what can be done in shops that are relatively small. My favorite story is about a former co-worker who had a 10×10 shop with a table saw, jointer and planer in there and still managed to turn out some really nice furniture. He literally had the tools arranged in a triangle and could turn around in a circle to use them.

But you have a nice shop space in which to work. Any thoughts about adding some insulation in there to try and extend the woodworking season. I am sure it gets pretty cold in there during the winter.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting with you.

I was going to add insulation and hardboard wall panels, but after the priceing. I decided to hold off till this year.

But then life stepped in…I got custody of my 2 kids and my house became quite small fast. I have a 2 bedroom.

well, i am in the process of buying a bigger house….the house that I am hopfully buying has a nice 2 car garage attached…This will get insulation as soon as I move in, due to the 6 month winters here…kind of ruins your woodworking in teen degrees.
