Mass produced wooden watches?

Yesterday I came across a wooden watch for sale in a local art store. Every bit of the watch was wood, including the band, excluding the internals and some pins. It was beautiful and really unique, and I picked it up gingerly assuming it was a master carpenter’s exquisite piece, and was shocked to see a reasonable price tag. There seem to be two major companies manufacturing these, one of them out of Canada ( http://tensewatch.com/ ). Being relatively new to woodworking, I can’t help but wonder how they are making these.
