I have been married to Betty for 40. I recently retired after 40 years in the wood furniture business. I started in case cleaning, working into assembly, then to the finish mill. I then became a department supervisor eventually becoming factory superintendent. I have always enjoyed the craft of wood working. My father retired from the business after 40 years. It is an honor to carry on his tradition.

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Thank all for the wonderful welcome! I have enjoyed woodworking as a hobby, and avocation for forty years now. I have worked and retired from the furniture industry but once in the blood it won’t go away. So at the urging of my son and a good friend we have opened a cabinet shop. Judging from the comments and the first piece of advice I am going to enjoy this forum. I have posted one project a simple home entertainment center their will be more to come this next week. You all may be surprised at what you see.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Wisty
