My Fiance’ and I were taking a walk thru the neighborhood and I stopped dead in front of this one house that had this tree in the front.. and thought to myself.. Boy..I wonder what kind of figure this tree has inside of it?? I don’t know what species it is though, and from the looks of it..it’s nowhere anywhere ready to die…lol

Yeah, I’ve been afflicted with the same bug I guess. You should hear me, walking through the park, pretty women all around, but I’ll be saying “whooee, look at the burls on that tree!” as if the ugly old tree is the sexiest thing around and I just can’t wait to get it’s clothes off to see what’s underneath. Okay, um, I’m joking (I think). Really, I’m not obsessed or anything. Just don’t tell my wife while I was walking with her, I was actually thinking about the trees.

I can go one better. I actually have been getting in trouble because my WIFE looks at trees and thinks ” I bet that has nice grain in it” Then blames ME, because she is looking at the trees! haha
Wonderfull tree. With LOTS of potential.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow…...what a lumpy tree! The leaves sorta look like cottonwood.

RB, the next time you go walking with your wife and you see a similar sight (heavily burled tree) just imagine that lumpiness to be cellulite on ‘another woman’s legs and she is wearing short shorts. Then, turn and smile at your fiance with a loving grin. She will never know.

Wow what cellulite…................ah I mean burl. I’d like to see the insides too. I’ll bet it sure is pretty.

Nice Randy,
Is there a lesson here for us. Has anyone else noticed the trees with the ugliest exterior, often has the most beautiful interior.
Just look at a Walnut tree. Half the year it looks dead, yet on the inside it is beautiful.
Could this extend to people too? Makes me wonder.
