I confess, other than my lathe I have not bought a new power tool in more than 15 years. My table saw is almost 20 years old, as is my router, my jig saw, my drill and my palm sander. I get so jealous of the guys with all the latest stuff…
I built my workbench from scratch, no plans, just my coconut. There’s a picture of one of my now famous boards of birdseye pine and another of my midi-lathe. Then there’s my fan, which doubles as an air conditioner when my garage is 95 degrees with 98% humidity and it also functions as a dust dispersement system when it blows it out the door. Then of course last but not least is my pair of shop gremlins. I highly recommend a matched set for their multi-tasking capabilities. They are high maintenance though, so you may not be able to afford new lumber or tools for a while…

You have a nice shop space in which to work and a nice set of tools to play with. I love the picture of the gremlins. You are truly blessed to have a set of these “shop assistants”.
Thanks for the post. I enjoyed visiting your shop.
